Summary

In Chapter 20, Georgina skipped school again even though she promised Toby she wouldn’t. She decided not to wait any longer and to take Willy home. As she and Willy were leaving the abandoned house, she saw Willy’s collar lying on the log where Mookie used to sit. She realized Mookie knew her scheme. She put the collar back on Willy and put him in Carmella’s yard. Carmella was home from work, and Willy ran straight through the doggie door to see her. Carmella hurried back down the road, but she stopped in her tracks. Her conscience made her turn around and go back to tell Carmella the truth.
