Summary
In Chapter 9, Louise opened the envelope and read her mother’s letter against her will. Her mother wrote that she left her estate to Mark because she knew Louise could take care of herself. Her mother added she was sure that Mark would share with Louise if she needed it.
Louise printed out copies of her parents’ wills and went through them line by line. As Louise read her mother’s will she saw that her mother had left Louise her art collection. Louise believed that meant that Mark was not going to win after all.
In Chapter 10, when Agutter returned the following day to clean out the house, Louise informed him that she had to remove her mother’s artwork first, and that it might take a while. Mark was angry when he saw that Louise was sending Agutter away. Louise...
