Jonas and Angela's Apartment

Jonas and Angela's apartment is located in New York City. Angela moves to the one-bedroom basement space shortly after leaving her job at the refugee resettlement center and beginning work at her new law firm. Just after securing the apartment, she makes a key for Jonas and invites him to live with her.

When the couple first moves in together, Angela is careful to integrate their belongings, to balance the space between both their physical possessions and emotional needs. As time passes and the two are faced with an increasing number of issues in their relationship, the apartment feels more and more cramped. The couple becomes reluctant to spend time together there; if Angela is home, Jonas wanders the streets instead, and if Jonas is home, Angela stays out almost all night.
