Book 3, Chapter 43 Summary
No one noticed Jenna during her freshman year. However, she made friends by participating in extracurricular activities and even became friends with the captain of the cheerleaders.
Jenna stopped doing pageants because she had gone all the way to nationals and won. The other girls had mothers with them, and even though she won, they all still disliked her. She was tired of it. She had achieved her goal, and now she was moving on.
Book 3, Chapter 43 Analysis
Jenna wanted to be popular, as all freshmen do. The reader notices that she figures out the way to popularity is through extracurricular activities. Again, Jenna excelled at all she did. Jenna was smart and realized that she had gone as far as possible in the pageant circuit. The reader sees that whatever she sets her mind to do, she accomplishes.
