Book 3, Chapter 40 Summary
Jenna writes in her diary that although she still loves Victor, she is over him. She also writes about how she met up with Cliff, had sex for the first time, and how happy she is now.
Book 3, Chapter 40 Analysis
The reader knows that this is a normal writing for a teenage girl. It shows that Victor was important to her learning experiences, as will be Cliff. We also see that her happiness depends on whether she is with a boy or not. This is not a good way to think about happiness.
