Book 1, Chapter 7 Summary
Jenna writes in her diary that she is totally in love with Jack, but that he does not give her the emotional or loving relationship she wants or needs. She feels that it is because Jack does not understand women, and she blames herself for getting angry with him.

The reader is seeing a very personal glimpse into Jenna's life and thoughts of her life at the age of 17. She is excited for many reasons, but is also blaming herself for things that are not her fault. We know this is not healthy for a relationship, and we know that it is only a matter of time before things change.
