Book 1, Chapter 4 Summary
Jenna's mother died when she was three. Her father never said much about her mother hoping that it would help her from missing the mother she never really knew. However, this had the exact opposition effect. Jenna thought about her mother all the time, and knew she had been a Vegas showgirl. When she left her father's house, she knew she had to get a job, and what better job then a showgirl. She was too short, too young and too inexperienced for many of the best hotels in Las Vegas, but through determination, she was eventually hired. This job had grueling hours and very little pay. Jack knew of a way for her to make more money.
