Once Halley's mother is gone, she is free to do almost anything. Her father is busy with work, and pays little attention to her, and she spends most of her time with Macon. Scarlett spends more time with Cameron, and picks up extra shifts at Milton's to help cover the cost of baby items. She also joins a Teen Mothers Support Group, meeting two days a week. Halley cuts school with Macon, who copies her mother's signature on any note she needs. When an opportunity presents itself and they find themselves alone together in her house, she stops him before he can get too carried away, and he reminds her that they've been dating for almost three months. He can't understand her reluctance...
