Summary

“Week Two” contains two chapters. In “Ruby,” the women return to the YMCA basement for their next meeting. Ruby, wearing her usual thick fur coat made from the wolf who attacked her as a child, faints and chips a tooth. When she wakes up, she refuses to see a paramedic or take off her coat, which seems to be oozing blood. She brushes off everyone’s questions, eats a stack of cookies, and listens to the other women talk about last week’s session with Will.

Finally, Will turns to her and asks her what happened. She tells them that she was late for her shift at the coffee shop because she had fallen asleep on the train because she was hungover.
