Summary
"The You Train" is told from the perspective of a friend catching up to her friend on the phone. It tells the story of a woman living in New York City who starts to see phantom subway trains that no longer run, some that never even existed. She sees a “9” train, a “P” train, and later a “T” train. She never gets on. Instead, she watches as they pass by.
