Summary
"The Storyteller's Replacement" is narrated by a storyteller but not the regular storyteller. They are the replacement. They tell the story of King Parameter of Sosun, who in an effort to banish rumors of his impotence, eats the heart of a male dragon. Unfortunately, his wizard told him to find a male, but he finds a female instead. He eats the heart and subsequently has six daughters. They grow up to be charming and beautiful, and dote on him. When the girls turn sixteen, they request to be married off to a man who is very strong. A bloodbath ensures, and the victor marries all six daughters at once. The girls have six daughters with him, although their husband soon dies, falling off the balcony. The King finally finds a male dragon and eats his heart and produces more...
