Chapters 7-9 Summary
At the start of Chapter 7, the young people move back into the house, because it's cold and not too comfortable in the lambing barn. Daisy receives letters from her father and Leah. Her father writes mostly about Davina's pregnancy and tacks on a concern about Daisy's health, all of which annoys her. Leah's letter, about who is dating whom at school, interests her mightily, and she's very sad that she has no cell phone or email service to communicate with Leah. Her cousins have had word that their mother is trying to get back to England, and has arranged for them to take money out of the bank account.
