Summary
In Chapter 14, Sandra, Alex, Adele, and their parents boarded a plane that was the largest thing Sandra had ever been inside, other than a house. She had many questions, about where the pee went from the plane. Did it fall on people's heads below? She wondered how there were lights in the plane. The language barrier was soon an issue when someone ate a pat of butter and someone put salt in their tea. Rachel was worried when the plane encountered turbulence on takeoff, but the ride was soon smooth. They struggled to find connecting flights because of the language issue and were shocked at the cold when they arrived in New York for the short flight to Rochester. Heritage was waiting for them at the airport there with a caseworker and a new friend.
