Chapters 36-47 Summary

In Chapter 36, Emerson returns to Renegade House the following day and finds Kaleb alone in the kitchen. They begin to flirt and Kaleb nearly kisses her, only stopping when she begins to think of Michael. Michael walks in on them and storms out of the house.

In Chapter 37, Emerson follows Michael outside and they argue, first about his relationship with Ava and then about his refusal to admit to his feelings for Emerson.

In Chapter 38, Dune spills mud and crawfish all over Emerson. Michael allows Emerson to shower in his room while he washes her clothes. Emerson is waiting in Michael's room, wearing nothing but her under things and one of his t-shirts when Ava walks in.
