Chapters 11 & 12 Summary
Stephanie and Lula enter the townhouse and search. The master bedroom is neat and tidy, but the guest room is in disarray with clothes strewn about. Searching the kitchen they find recently purchased food in the refrigerator. As they discuss this, the front door opens and Cynthia Lotte enters the home. Lotte has come searching for her jewelry and car. Homer had broken up with her two days before his death and had taken back the gifts he had given her. Stephanie tells her they had not seen any jewelry, but in the garage they find Cynthia's Porsche with a dead man inside. Unwilling to leave her car behind and only a little concerned about the bloodstains from the gunshot victim, Cynthia enlists Stephanie and Lula to help her remove the man. They do so, and Cynthia leaves. Stephanie and Lula feel bad...
