Summary
Chapter 45. Joe waits at a lost-and-found office at Penn Station, where Finn’s letter had directed him. Meanwhile, he recalls the letter, which is reproduced in the text: Finn explains that he needed money to help pay for his wife’s medical care, and so said yes when he was offered an opportunity to make some extra money that he knew involved transporting drugs. The letter also confirms the involvement of the Marauders, and that he had transported several bags of drugs before leaving the last one at the train station. The letter concludes with Finn saying that he does not know what will happen to him when the Marauders find out he has not delivered the last bag, that he knows the Marauders have an ally in the police force, and that Joe is the only person he feels he can trust...
