Summary
Chapter 33. Joe and Barack drop Steve off at a hospital, and then meet with Dan Capriotti in an unused garage. Capriotti tells them that Esposito has put him on traffic duty for getting Joe involved – specifically, telling Joe things that Joe had told Grace, who complained to Esposito that she had not been told everything about her father’s death. Capriotti also reveals that Alvin Harrison had died of a drug overdose, and that a witness had identified someone going into Alvin’s apartment who, Capriotti says, looked like Joe. Joe denies knowing anything about Alvin’s death, and then manages to convince Capriotti to reveal what he knows about the Marauders. After urging Joe and Barack to be careful around the violent Marauders, Capriotti gives them the gang’s address.
