Chapters 3-4 Summary

In chapter 3, Officer Delinko arrives once more at the Mother Paula's site to learn that the vandal has again pulled up the stakes, filling in the holes, and flattened all the tires on a flat bed truck carrying port-a-potties. Officer Delinko checks the potties to be sure they were not tampered with and finds small alligators in each one. Across town, Roy arrives home and has to explain to his parents about the fight he was in on the bus. Roy's father is outraged that Roy was punished, but Dana Matherson was not. Therefore, when Roy writes his apology letter, Roy's father is supportive of his less than regretful tone. Back at the station, Officer Delinko meets with his sergeant and captain to discuss the vandalism at the pancake house site.
