Chapters 11 and 12 Summary

Frank is talking about having to watch people die. He also says to write this down, as if he is talking to someone, such as a psychiatrist. He says he watched many people die, including his two best friends in Korea. He refuses to watch his sister die.

Frank arrives in Atlanta. While he's waiting for his cabdriver to arrive to take him to the suburbs, where Cee works, he ambles around the city. While he's walking around, Frank is attacked by a gang of boys, who strike him on the head with a pipe and steal his wallet. Later, Frank sits at an all-night diner.
