Summary
Page 123 is titled “The Lovers” as the party ends and Nima and Yasmeen follow their parents leaving the party. Her mother tells her father that she thinks it is a girl, touching her stomach. Her father grabs her mother and spins her around, Nima entranced by the first time she has heard her father’s voice.
