Baneberry Hall
Baneberry Hall is the central setting in both Maggie’s novel and Ewan’s novel. Ewan argues in his novel that the house is haunted. He claims that is why he and his family fled from the house after living there for only 20 days. When Maggie learns that her father has left her Baneberry Hall in his will, she decides to spend a summer there even though she promised her father she would never return. Maggie discovers in the house a secret passage that allowed Marta and Elsa access to Maggie’s bedroom when she was a child.
