Summary
In “July 5: Day 10,” after Ewan found the record player out of the closet and turned on, he demanded to know if Jess was messing with him. Jess said it was not her and suggested perhaps Maggie had done it. They were in a full shouting argument and did not hear the doorbell. The argument escalated with Jess accusing Ewan of fantasizing about Petra and then running upstairs. As Ewan followed Jess, he saw Petra was standing in the great room. She explained Maggie had let her inside and told Ewan he needed to read the letters they had found.
The letters were from Callum Auguste, the man who had painted Indigo’s portrait, discussing plans to elope. It appeared William had forbidden Indigo from seeing Callum again. In one letter, Callum writes that he fears that William plans to stop their marriage...
