Holly Gibney
Holly Gibney is the owner of Finders Keepers, a private investigation firm. Holly’s firm is closed because Holly’s mother just died of Covid and her partner is suffering with the disease when Penny calls Holly to ask if she will investigate the disappearance of her daughter. Holly takes the case against Pete’s advice because it helps distract her from her mother’s death. Later, the case helps distract Holly from the reality that her mother lied to her about her inheritance being stolen in hopes that Holly would close the firm and return home to live with her mother.
Holly is a slightly neurotic character whose life has been impacted negatively by her overpowering mother. Holly is both relieved and grieved by her mother’s death. As soon as Holly hears Penny’s voice on her answering machine, she wants to take the case...
