Summary
Chapter 29 is subtitled “S.T.: University of Washington, Bothell Campus, Bothell, Washington, USA.” S.T.’s days were fulfilling, helping the crows rescue more domestics. Dennis tried hard to keep up with the flying birds, and the college crows grew to love him. They brought him trinkets that he did not need but accepted graciously.
S.T., who had once hated the college crows, now lived with them on the UW Bothell campus. S.T. was offered a prime sleeping spot, but he preferred to sleep on Dennis’ back. Dennis’ wound from the grizzly bear had healed well, leaving a scar that looked like a “cartoon smile,” in keeping with the bloodhound’s general demeanor (233).
