Summary
Chapter 18 is subtitled “S.T.: Unconscious, Whereabouts Unknown.” S.T. regained consciousness the following morning and felt pain when he lifted his wings. He realized that Dennis must have carried him from the zoo back to the house where Cinnamon lived. Dennis pawed at the front door while S.T. struggled to reach the window ledge. S.T. realized that he could not fly, but he refused to give up like a useless penguin. Inside the house, the Black Tide of depression had overtaken Cinnamon. S.T. resolved to think like a MoFo and focus on what he could do, rather than what he could not. He formulated a plan and hopped onto Dennis, navigating by leaning left and right.
