Summary
Chapter 12 is subtitled “S.T.: Somewhere Alongside the Alaskan Way Viaduct, Seattle, Washington, USA.” S.T. and Dennis headed south, searching for The One Who Opens Doors. S.T. listened for Aura, but it was silent. S.T. realized that there were no birds around and that trees were urging them to go back north. They passed a restaurant with MoFos secured inside. A spray-painted message warned not to release them, and a nearby severed human arm held a note that said, “DO NOT USE YOUR PHONE” (85).
The crow and dog approached an Amtrak station. S.T.’s crow nature urged him to look inside, despite Dennis’ warning whine.
