Summary

Chapter 5 is subtitled “S.T.: The Small Craftsman Home in Ravenna, Seattle, Washington, USA.” S.T. rushed home with various medications from Walgreens, then hurried to the basement to check on Big Jim. The MoFo was still dragging his finger nub along the wall, and S.T. mused that Big Jim would have to replace that finger when he felt better. Dennis was in the laundry room, looking sad and wrinkly. After some days, Dennis stopped eating. During this same time, S.T. tried unsuccessfully to force assorted pills down Big Jim's throat, hoping for a cure that would restore him to normal, but Big Jim would not swallow.

Sadness began to overtake S.T., despite his usual tendency toward optimism. He encouraged Dennis to eat and exercise by offering him Cheetos®, just as Big Jim had done with him when he was a...
