Book Four, Dark Side of the Moon: 75-86 Summary
In chapter seventy-five, Will returns home and begins having bad thoughts constantly about Palmer, Maggie, and the kids. In chapter seventy-six, Maggie tells Will she is going to San Francisco to do the first concert she has done since Patrick's death. Will tells her she cannot go. They argue and Will slaps Maggie twice.
In chapter seventy-seven, Maggie takes Jennie and Allie with her to San Francisco. When they arrive, Maggie finds a fax from Will wishing her luck. In chapter seventy-eight, Maggie is on a helicopter with the children and Barry. Maggie wants to stay up there forever, where she feels safe, but knows she cannot. When Maggie goes on stage to perform, she becomes emotional and cannot continue.
