In chapter sixty-five, Maggie is taken in front of the judge to make her plea. Maggie wonders how she got here. Maggie pleads not guilty.
In chapter sixty-six, it is a year after Maggie and Will's wedding. They are in a line of cars waiting to arrive at the premiere of Primrose. Will is nervous. The director joins them and he is nervous too, so Maggie and Jennie leave them alone and join the director's wife in his car. In chapter sixty-seven, Maggie wonders if Will did have an affair with Suzanne Purcell as she watches the scene in which he convinces her she is sexy despite her pregnancy.
