Summary
Chapter 41: Though she was once determined to never return home, Lindsay was now a regular in Colorado Springs where she visited and took care of her sick brothers. For the first time, she learned about Donald's attempted murder-suicide and that Don had been getting shock therapy before his death. Both Lindsay and Margaret were impacted by the number of secrets in their family and were unsure how to process this new information.
Chapter 42: Margaret worked hard throughout her adult life to establish a sense of emotional equilibrium. However, she still felt the abandonment of having been sent away from her family. She turned to painting, using her family members, the Garys, and her emotional history as her subjects.
