Chapter 25

Chapter 25 opens with Sophie turning to see that the person who spoke to her is Archer and he is amazed at how beautiful she looks, just as Elodie is shocked to see her dress. Sophie and Jenna are enjoying watching everyone dance when suddenly Elodie seems to be in pain and leaves with Mrs. Casnoff. Archer follows and when he returns, he says that her dress suddenly became too tight and was choking her, and Sophie realizes that this was Alice’s plan all along. She looks for Jenna but she appears to have returned to their room. Archer asks Sophie to dance and says that Elodie was right when she said he really wanted to spend the dance with her, and Sophie realizes she is in love with him.
