Summary
Prologue
Hex Hall, by Rachel Hawkins, follows 16-year-old Sophie Mercer as she tries to find her way as a young witch. Along with other witches, faeries, shapeshifters and a lone vampire, she has been exiled to Hex Hall, a sort of reform school for young Prodigium, but rather than fitting in, Sophie inadvertently makes enemies immediately. However, she will need all the help she can get when she discovers a plot to destroy all Prodigium, especially her.
The book opens with a Prologue that introduces Sophie Mercer, who finds Felicia Miller crying in the restroom on prom night. No one asked her to the prom, so Felicia lied to her parents and said her date was meeting her. Sophie feels sorry for her and says she can help, then leads her to the parking lot and casts a spell to make popular...
