Summary

Chapter 8 is from Arthur’s perspective and takes place on Tuesday, May 19th. Arthur wakes up to a FaceTime call from Mikey who asks how he slept. He has not, and gets up to get dressed. They don’t say I love you, but Arthur justifies it as them not yet being ready. Then his mind is taken with images of Ben, and he is disturbed by how easily he thinks of Ben. Arthur then heads to his first day of work. Arthur tries and fails to play it cool. When he gets there, he meets Taj, his boss, and the director, Jacob. Jacob is kind to Arthur. Arthur is given a few tasks and makes mistakes during them. He is upset by his own shortcomings and wants a do-over of that first impression.
