Summary

In Chapter 25, “Samantha,” Sam arrives home from work to find that Faith has given Jamie a hair curt and that Jamie and Bitsy are cooking. Sam is thrilled that Jamie seems to have turned a corner but feels jealous that Jamie opened up to Faith while he has continued to refuse to talk to Sam. Curtis arrives while they are grilling on the deck. Jamie threatens Curtis with a grilling fork and Sam calls 911. Eli and his partner quickly arrive and take a gun from Curtis. Curtis insists he knows nothing about the order of protection Faith filed, and the officers realize that the paperwork has not been processed to become a formal order. They instruct Faith on how to take the next step. They arrest Curtis on other charges, including having the gun. Faith believes she should go to a shelter but...
