Summary
In Chapter 4, “Jacqueline,” Jackie is watching the caterers and staff set up the party. Jackie is the oldest of the sisters and her birthday is June 1. Sam is next and her birthday is June 2. Faith is youngest and her birthday is June 4. As children, they had always celebrated a joint birthday on June 3. As adults, Jackie usually hosted a dinner party for the family at her home, Moss Creek Farm. Jackie, the first to reach the 50-year milestone, had decided that each of the women deserved their own party on that birthday. Jackie can see the waterfront from her balcony. There is a huge statue of a heron on the balcony, and Jackie decorates it for various events. She named the heron Grace and Grace is wearing a lei made of orchids for the party.
