Summary
In Chapter 29, Morgan heard Sophie cry. Then, she heard a thud from Sophie's room, which meant that Sophie was having a nightmare. On her way to Sophie’s room, Morgan could see a child and an adult silhouetted in the hallway. She first thought another member of the family had tended to Sophie. However, when the figure moved, she knew it was not Gianna or her grandfather.
Morgan commanded the man to release Sophie. When he refused to do so, Sophie bit him and then pivoted out of his reach. Morgan ordered Sophie to go into her bedroom and lock the door. Grandpa spoke from behind the intruder, telling him not to move. The intruder froze and then ran. Grandpa followed. After Morgan located Sophie she called Lance. As Morgan tried to calm Sophie, she heard Grandpa calling for her. He had fallen...
