Summary
Cara was notorious for “borrowing” Christa’s personal items – clothing, jewelry, make-up. Christa in turn decided to help herself to whatever she wanted of Cara’s personal belongings. Cara copied Christa’s style hoping that if they possessed the same things that they would have the same lives. Cara’s family, friends and co-workers all looked out for her after the rape. The rapist was still out there which unnerved everyone. Christa was afraid he’d see her and think she was Cara. Christa began to feel a distance between her and Cara after the assault. Cara said that they couldn’t be twins because she was no longer “clean.” The police spotted the rapist on a surveillance tape and arrested him.
Christa stocked Cara up with groceries during her recovery. Most of it went bad because she wasn’t eating...
