Summary
Christa Parravani was a twin until her twin sister, Cara Parravani, died when Christa experienced a loss of identity. When she looked in the mirror it was Cara staring back at her. Cara overdosed when she and Christa were 28. Christa learned that it was a common reaction for an identical twin to see the deceased identical twin in the mirror. Christa took on the identity of Cara in a more harmful way than just superficially. To bring her sister “back” Christa tore apart her life just as Cara had ruined hers. Christa’s memories were jumbled; she became unsure which memories were hers and which ones belonged to Cara.
