Summary
In Stop 11, “The Wrights,” after leaving the police station, the four friends drive to Scotty’s house. His parents “have already gone to sleep” (155). Inside, Aidan makes coffee while the friends try to clean the ink off Scotty. Then Clare realizes why Stella has been so evasive. She asks Stella if something is between her and Scotty. Stella explains that it started as a fling. She did not want to tell Clare until she knew how she felt. Now she knows she really likes Scotty (158). Clare is surprised, but supportive. The friends make amends for their misunderstandings.
The friends take their coffee outside. They apologize for the conflicts of the evening. Then they start reminiscing about old times.
