Point of View
The novel is told from the third person point of view of an omniscient narrator. This third person point of view is important in this novel because the development of the characters is just as important to the story as the plot itself. If the story were told from the point of view of any one particular character instead of an all knowing narrator, the other characters would not have been developed as fully and completely as they are. The use of an omniscient narrator allows the reader to have insight into the thoughts and emotions of all the characters.
