Summary

In Chapter 54, the doctor suspected the food poisoning at Christmas might have been responsible for the miscarriage. In the car, Victoria told Joan she wanted her mum. Joan held Victoria as she cried and talked. They took a walk and Victoria asked Joan to talk about her own miscarriages. Meanwhile at Errigal Genevieve was looking for Ig. She was getting really worried because she couldn’t find Ig in any of his usual places. Genevieve told Angela not to worry but Angela reminded Genevieve how scared Ig was of snakes. When Genevieve asked how she knew about Ig’s fear of snakes, Angela said he had been scared of them since he was a little kid. Genevieve realized Angela was beginning to act like a mother, not a guest.
