Summary
In Chapter 39, the twins arrived home before Angela did to fix up the governess’ quarters for her. Since they had some time to themselves, they took their pregnancy tests. One was positive, the other wasn’t. Once Angela arrived home the twins showed her to her room. They noticed she remembered the trick to opening the French doors, but nothing else seemed familiar to her. Nick had told the girls he was fine but they didn’t believe him. Hearing her refer to Will and Lexie as her family was upsetting him more than he wanted the children to know. He tried to block out his negative thoughts, as Jim had instructed him to do but found it harder and harder to do.
