Summary
In Chapter 7 as Angela was headed for her pottery studio the phone rang. It was Joan. She asked Angela what had gotten into her. Joan had received her copy of Angela’s Christmas letter and began reading it out loud. Angela admitted to writing the letter, but didn’t remember having sent it. Joan told her she did send it and that it went to more than 100 people on her mailing list. When Angela asked Joan’s advice on what she should do, Joan told her she should do nothing. Just wait it out. Angela worried no one would come to the woolshed party the family was planning in a few weeks but Joan felt the letter would have the opposite effect.
When Angela headed to the computer room to read the letter again she heard Nick talking to Carol about his family...
