Summary

In Chapter 3, Angela found Ig and Lindy in the kitchen. Ig was surrounded by blood. There was part of a finger on the floor. Lindy told her mother he’d been standing on the table trying to cut his hair with the carving knife when he’d jumped down, slipped and landed on the knife. Angela went into automatic mode wrapping up Ig’s bleeding finger and putting a bandage on him. She put the piece of finger in a towel and the towel into a bag of ice. Ig insisted his mother be the one to take him to the hospital.

Four hours later, Nick got a phone call from Angela. Angela told him everything would be okay. Once they’d reached the hospital in Hawker, Ig had been taken by ambulance to a bigger hospital in Port Augusta. He had already...
