Hell House
Name given to the Belasco family home in the Matawaskie Valley in Maine. It is the pinnacle of haunted houses, and two attempts to investigate it were disastrous. One was in 1931 and the other in 1940. Eight people involved in those attempts, three of them scientists, had either committed suicide, were killed or went insane. The house had been locked up since the last attempt.
Bastard Bog
The name given to the bog outside Hell House. Strong smelling, it is so named because over the years thirteen of Belasco's female guests had become pregnant. The surface resembles gelatin and the stones around it are green with algae. The tarn has a smell of decay.
Great Hall
