Part Four: December 22, 1970: Chapters 23 - 29 Summary
Florence goes upstairs, and finds the cat outside her door. She takes it in, and keeps going over the whole experience. The cat jolts upright and darts out. Behind her the bed clothes once again come off the bed, and this time form themselves over an obvious nude male. She asks if he is Emeric's son, edges closer and tries to reason with him. The figure shouts "Boo!," causing her to jump. She tells the figure that she isn't interested in jokes. The Chinese lamp is thrown to the floor, the door is thrown open with such force that it crashes into the wall. She waits for a while before cleaning up.
Florence goes downstairs and Ben encourages her to eat. Lionel and Edith also come down and Lionel's attitude is so condescending that Florence...
