Part Four: December 22, 1970: Chapters 17 - 22 Summary
Lionel tries the pool, but it is still not warm enough. Edith pulls the metal door to the steam room open and follows him in. She sits down and watches Lionel as he bends over to turn the tap on, and his shadow on the ceiling begins to expand. Thinking she must be imagining it, she tries to ignore it, but it continues to spread. She calls out his name and tells him she's seeing things. He tells her it is her imagination, but they leave the steam room.
Florence goes to Ben's room and finds him asleep, but pale. She goes downstairs and finds breakfast. She tells Lionel and Edith her impressions that the figure she channeled and then saw again last evening was likely Belasco's son. Lionel nodded but didn't believe a word...
