Part Three: December 21, 1970: Chapters 12 - 16 Summary
Florence and Ben investigate the seven-car garage, then follow another set of stairs to find an Olympic sized swimming pool. They go around to the steam room and Florence has overwhelming feelings of perversion. Back out, they see a door leading to a wine cellar that is empty but Florence doesn't want to go in. She is still unable to go into the chapel feeling as though it is the root of the house's evil. Florence accuses Ben of blocking and obstructing his senses. He argues that the house is intent on killing them all and that by opening herself up to it, she puts herself in danger and then walks away.
