Summary

Stanley told John that he had trained as an apprentice at a photography studio in London but, because the photographer who trained him had died during the war, he was unable to provide any references. John was impressed with Stanley’s diligence and pleased that everything was done the way he wanted it to be done and that Stanley always left everything in the right place.
