Chapters 32-37 Summary
Chapter 32:
"Kat had always heard that if there was one thing that the great museums of the world feared more than theft, it was fire. In that moment, she didn't doubt it." (Chap. 32, pg. 241)
The crowd panics and everyone tries to get outside. Sirens blare. Nick steals Wainwright's card again. Kat and Nick get inside the Romani room. Simon is taking too much time to deactivate the system and fire measures are about to be underway. Kat tries to rush him before their opportunity is gone.
Hale stands outside with Marcus and Wainwright. He wonders how it all went wrong. He worries about Kat being inside with Nick. Hale feels helpless. Wainwright yells into his phone. He also assures Hale and Marcus that the art will be protected. Wainwright explains that oxygen is sucked out of the rooms which will extinguish...
